In 2010, the sponsor of this nonprofit faith-based senior living community launched a new fundraising event for the purpose of raising funds to benefit its residents.
As this was a brand new initiative, awareness and credibility were essential to validate the event among the community’s supporters and the greater community in order to attract donors.
Forté supported the efforts by attracting the attention of major local media and the highly-respected writers who cover the charitable and social scene.
Pre-event articles and calendar items in local newspapers, faith-based publications, and society websites and blogs were successful in creating awareness and helping to drive attendance.
Trapper Collova, Senior Vice President-Marketing & Creative Services for Forté, led the marketing efforts for the event; including production of an emotionally-charged video, a multi-piece direct mail campaign, print ads and a dynamic online presence supporting the event.
The result was the launch of a very successful event raising donations of more than $250,000 to benefit the seniors at this community. The post-event coverage contributed to the growth and ongoing success of what is now an annual event that raises increasing amounts each year.
